Franschhoek Wine Tram Festival of Lights
Come experience the magic of the festive season with Franschhoek Wine Tram!
Guests will arrive at the Franschhoek Terminal from 7:30 pm, and enjoy the festive atmosphere. Food and drink options will be available to grab a bite to eat. A variety of cold drinks, hot drinks, toasties, coffee, and beignets (classic French pastries) will also be on offer from Café Beignet, situated at the Franschhoek Terminal. Guests will board the tram at their allocated booking time from 8:15 pm and will be taken on a 30-minute journey by double-decker tram. Along the way, guests will experience a specially choreographed festive light display on each side of the Tram tracks.

All food and drink – please note that this needs to be paid for separately from the food offerings / Café Beignet, and is not included in your booking.
Chauffeur / Transfer – Please note that transfers are not available for this event. Your own transport needs to be arranged.
Funds raised will be donated to FRANCO & KUSASA, two charities that operate and support children in the Franschhoek area.

What a fabulous evening. We were on holiday in South Africa for six weeks and our host for our stay in Franschhoek sent me the link for the new Festival of Lights as he thought we might enjoy it - and how right he was! We were greeted by a lovely choir singing Christmas carols and there was a lovely buzz about the place. Lovely home-cooked food was available and plenty of soft drinks The Wine Tram was delicious and our trip up and down the line was quite magical. The whole idea was brilliant and I hope you made lots of money for your charity We'll be back to South Africa again and hope the Festival of Lights becomes an annual event - Jan
It was such an amazing experience!!! The kids loved it, we as adults loved it.. love the fact that it was a mix of lights and real life humans.. the music and songs on the bus were on point!! Loooved it. Suggestions: We initially booked the 20:00 slot but then realised the sun only sets later so that should be kept in mind as the experience is better in the dark I think. Maybe more lights and extend the trip by 10 min?! All in all an amazing experience, so worth it.. thank you!!! - Shani-Lee
