Every Monday: Mont Rochelle

The Blue Line tour starts on a modified tram-bus and ends with the double-decker railway tram. The tour allows you to experience breathtaking mountain views while stopping at as many as eight of the following wine estates:

Mont Rochelle
La Bri
Holden Manz
Grande Provence (cashless estate – card payments only)
Rickety Bridge
Franschhoek Cellar

We now also offer exclusive transfers from Cape Town, Stellenbosch, Paarl and surrounds at very affordable rates which collects you at your specified address. Please see the zones below in terms of the collection areas included within our pricing structure.

WeatherBoth the tram and tram-bus are fairly well protected from the rain but on the rare occasion the service may be cancelled due to weather conditions or mechanical problems without notice in which case full refunds will be issued.
What to WearWe will be travelling with open blinds and windows for your safety, please wear warm comfortable clothes & shoes on cold days.

Guests or SpectatorsEstate Closures Every Monday: Mont Rochelle *The tour is monitored by video cameras for safety and security purposes The tour is strictly a wine tasting experience and does not host celebration events such as birthdays or bachelor/bachelorette parties as the estates visited are primarily wine-tasting venues and not party venues. In order to properly exercise their duties, the Franschhoek Wine Tram staff members place a legitimate expectation on all guests not to behave in an unacceptably loud, disruptive, offensive or intoxicated manner. Should any such behaviour be exhibited the Franschhoek Wine Tram reserves its right to suspend or withdraw its services. All vehicles are fitted with CCTV. Tickets are to be collected on the day of your tour. Please be at the Ticket Office +/-20 minutes prior to your departure time. Where to Park? Parking available at the Franschhoek Terminal. Please note our tours are not wheelchair friendly as the vehicles are all safari type vehicles. All clients travelling with us need to be mobile due to stairs in all vehicles as well as accessibility at the wine estates. Food or open alcoholic beverages are not allowed on the tour though food and drinks are available for purchase at the wine estates. Wine tastings can be purchased at each wine estate directly. Passengers may dine at one of several restaurants on the tour. In order to avoid disappointment, we advise passengers to make lunch reservations at least 24 hours in advance of travel. Please take note that pets are not permitted on the tour. CANCELLATION POLICY (All Service including chauffer/transfer services): 7 days + = 100% REFUND 1 - 7 days = 50% REFUND Less than 24 hours before scheduled TIME SLOT = No Refund Please send a cancellation email to info@winetram.co.za including your booking ID on the subject to request a refund.

Inclusions and Exclusions

Inclusions

Transportation from the ticket office to each of the wine estates on your route.
You will also receive a daily offerings card which will include any specials/discounts for the day.

Exclusions

Wine tasting, lunch and other activities at each stop.
Chauffer/Transfer – Please note transfers are added at an additional cost to your booking.

Notes

Please note transfer bookings to be made a minimum of 24 hours before your tour.

To avoid disappointment, it is highly recommended that passengers make reservations for lunch/picnic at least 24-48 hours in advance.

Tickets are to be collected on the day of your tour. Please be at the Ticket Office +/-20 minutes prior to your departure time.

As safety is one of our main priorities we will be implementing the following protocols for the safety of our guests and employees:
- Guests should arrive +/- 20 minutes before their departure for COVID-19 screening (Temperature check & capturing information)
Guests with a temperature exceeding 37°C will not be allowed to continue on our service.
- Masks/Shields covering your nose and mouth must be worn upon arrival and throughout your journey with us (Wine Estates, subject to their regulations)
- Safe practice of social distancing, 1.5m to be maintained between guests as well as staff at all times. (Seating on all vehicles will be managed by our staff)
- Sanitising stations will be available in the terminal upon arrival as well as each vehicle.
- All vehicles will be sanitised upon guests disembarking at a Wine Estate.

Please note we have provided the necessary training to our team to ensure all protocols are followed to keep you safe.
We reserve the right to refuse entry on the premises/service if guests refuse to adhere to the above-mentioned protocols.
