Groups experience a unique and leisurely way to see the Franschhoek Valley as they journey through rolling vineyards, stopping at some of South Africa’s oldest and most distinguished wine estates. The itinerary covers up to three wine estates in the Franschhoek Valley, each with a character as rich and individual as the wines they produce. Several of the wine estates on the itinerary boast world-class restaurants and a lunch or picnic stop can be included upon request.

Please Note: The tour is strictly a wine tasting experience and does not host birthdays or bachelor/bachelorette parties.

Wine tasting fees at each estate (between R35 and R75 per person) and lunch are not included in the tour price and need to be settled with the estates directly.

FORMAT:
Groups will visit up to 3 wine estates in the Franschhoek Valley over the course of 4 to 5 hours by double-decker tram and open-air tram-bus.

WhereThe tour embarks and disembarks from the Franschhoek Terminal. Cnr of Main Road and Cabriere Street, Franschhoek 7690 Where to Park? Parking available at the Franschhoek Terminal.

WeatherBoth the tram and tram-bus are fairly well protected from the rain but on the rare occasion the service may be cancelled due to weather conditions or mechanical problems without notice in which case full refunds will be issued.

What to WearWe will be travelling with open blinds and windows for your safety, please wear warm comfortable clothes & shoes on cold days.

Guests or SpectatorsThe tour is strictly a wine tasting experience and does not host celebration events such as birthdays or bachelor/bachelorette parties as the estates visited are primarily wine tasting venues and not party venues. Tickets are to be collected on the day of your tour. Please be at the Ticket Office +/-15 minutes prior to your departure time. Where to Park? Parking available at the Franschhoek Terminal. *The tour is monitored by video cameras for safety and security purposes In order to properly exercise their duties, the Franschhoek Wine Tram staff members place a legitimate expectation on all guests not to behave in an unacceptably loud, disruptive, offensive or intoxicated manner. Should any such behavior be exhibited the Franschhoek Wine Tram reserves its right to suspend or withdraw its services. All vehicles are fitted with CCTV. Please note our tours are not wheelchair friendly as the vehicles are all safari type vehicles. All clients traveling with us need to be mobile due to stairs in all vehicles as well as accessibility at the wine estates. Food or open alcoholic beverages are not allowed on the tour though food and drinks are available for purchase at the wine estates.Wine tastings can be purchased at each wine estate directly. Passengers may dine at one of several restaurants on the tour. In order to avoid disappointment, we advise passengers to make lunch reservations at least 24 hours in advance of travel. Please take note that pets are not permitted on the tour. CANCELLATION POLICY (All services including chauffer/transfer services): 7 days + = 100% REFUND 1 - 7 days = 50% REFUND Less than 24 hours before scheduled TIME SLOT = No Refund Please send a cancellation email to groups@winetram.co.za including your booking ID on the subject to request a refund.
