Activity Description

Exclusive Wine & Cuisine tram guests are treated to a day of exclusive luxury, from private use of a tram and tram-bus to four different pairing experiences.

Guests depart from the Franschhoek Terminal at 10:15 am, and enjoy a complimentary coffee while awaiting their departure. Guests travel via tram and tram-bus (private) to three pre-selected wine estates.

Throughout the course of the day, guests are treated to five pairing experiences, including a breakfast pairing, an MCC & macaroon pairing, an indulgent food & wine pairing lunch, and a dessert & wine pairing.

After a full day of food, wine and festivities, guests return to the Franschhoek Terminal at approximately 5 pm.

WeatherBoth the tram and tram-bus are fairly well protected from the rain but on the rare occasion the service may be cancelled due to weather conditions or mechanical problems without notice in which case full refunds will be issued.

What to WearWe will be travelling with open blinds and windows for your safety, please wear warm comfortable clothes & shoes on cold days.

Guests or SpectatorsThe tour is strictly a wine tasting experience and does not host celebration events such as birthdays or bachelor/bachelorette parties as the estates visited are primarily wine-tasting venues and not party venues. Tickets are to be collected on the day of your tour. Please be at the Ticket Office +/-15 minutes prior to your departure time. Where to Park? Parking available at the Franschhoek Terminal. *The tour is monitored by video cameras for safety and security purposes In order to properly exercise their duties, the Franschhoek Wine Tram staff members place a legitimate expectation on all guests not to behave in an unacceptably loud, disruptive, offensive or intoxicated manner. Should any such behaviour be exhibited the Franschhoek Wine Tram reserves its right to suspend or withdraw its services. All vehicles are fitted with CCTV. Please note our tours are not wheelchair friendly as the vehicles are all safari type vehicles. All clients travelling with us need to be mobile due to stairs in all vehicles as well as accessibility at the wine estates. Food or open alcoholic beverages are not allowed on the tour though food and drinks are available for purchase at the wine estates. Please take note that pets are not permitted on the tour.
