With the Exceptional Wine & Cuisine Experience, guests are treated to a day of exceptional luxury, travelling via tram and tram-bus to 3 different pairing experiences.
Guests depart from the Franschhoek Terminal at 10:15 am and enjoy a complimentary coffee and Beignet while awaiting their departure. Guests travel via tram and tram bus to three pre-selected wine estates.
Throughout the course of the day, guests are treated to a number of pairing experiences, including a breakfast pairing, a MCC & truffle pairing, an indulgent food & wine pairing lunch, and a dessert & wine pairing. After a full day of food, wine and festivities, guests return to the Franschhoek Terminal at approximately 5 pm.
The tour is strictly a wine-tasting experience and does not host celebration events such as birthdays or bachelor/bachelorette parties as the estates visited are primarily wine-tasting venues and not party venues. In order to properly exercise their duties, the Franschhoek Wine Tram staff members place a legitimate expectation on all guests not to behave in an unacceptably loud, disruptive, offensive, or intoxicated manner. Should any such behaviour be exhibited the Franschhoek Wine Tram reserves its right to suspend or withdraw its services. All vehicles are fitted with CCTV and monitored throughout the service.

24 hours + = 100% REFUND
Less than 24 hours before scheduled TIME SLOT = No Refund

Tickets are to be collected on the day of your tour. Please be at the Ticket Office +/-20 minutes prior to your departure time.
Please take note that pets are not permitted on the tour.

Please note all our tours are not wheelchair friendly as the vehicles are all safari-type vehicles. All clients travelling with us need to be mobile due to stairs in all vehicles as well as accessibility at the wine estates. What a wonderful day. The experience from beginning to end was exemplary. The wines and food were well paired and delicious. They were willing to make last minute menu changes. Only wish we had stayed in Franschhoek longer. - Tom

Can highly recommend this tour. Easy to park at the meet point. We were warmly greeted by our hosts Yolande and Camryn they gave us coffees we then hopped onto our bus and met the rest of the fun group we were with for the day. Then we had various bus and tram transportation all seemless with no waiting and no walking! My family loved all the different wines they tasted - all very generous pours and even top ups were offered. I don't drink and throughout the day I was offered various drinks and definitely made to feel like I wasn't missing out. I am gluten free and all the food we ate was brought by the waiter noting that it was gluten free. My son has a nut allergy and the same care and attention to his food too. We went to 3 wine farms one for breakfast - the food was delicious and bountiful - no way anyone could be hungry after the day. Do not eat before coming on the tour!! The lunch was under beautiful big oak trees in the shade at Grand Provence - with Oysters starting off our food and then a delectable delicious lunch to follow. The whole day was magical/special and we felt truly well treated. As the trams seem to go to different wine farms I can't wait to make this a yearly family outing. I also made use of their taxi transfer for collecting my son from Cape Town Waterfront and they arrived early and brought him to Franshoek in good time for the tour start at 10am. Highly recommend - just book it if you want everything to be taken care of for you - not need to make any choices just arrive and be treated royally! - Adrienne
The wine tasting tour was amazing thank you. We had to leave early at about 2pm as my friend was feeling ill (nothing to do with the tour), but what we experienced of the tour was great. The lunch place was the best, really nice place, food, wine and staff. Thanks, jeremy - Jeremy
I chose to do this primarily because I found the Franschhoek wine tram quite complicated. We had a very lovely day. I understand we probably had a smaller than normal group but this was lovely. Our guide Anga was lovely. She was non stop smiles and information. The food and wine farms were all beatiful. I think it was well priced and very well organised. Thank you to everyone involved. - Peter
