With the Exceptional Wine & Cuisine Experience, guests are treated to a day of exceptional luxury, travelling via tram and tram-bus to 3 different pairing experiences.
Guests depart from the Franschhoek Terminal at 10:15 am and enjoy a complimentary coffee and Beignet while awaiting their departure. Guests travel via tram and tram bus to three pre-selected wine estates.
Throughout the course of the day, guests are treated to a number of pairing experiences, including a breakfast pairing, a MCC & truffle pairing, an indulgent food & wine pairing lunch, and a dessert & wine pairing. After a full day of food, wine and festivities, guests return to the Franschhoek Terminal at approximately 5 pm.
The tour is strictly a wine-tasting experience and does not host celebration events such as birthdays or bachelor/bachelorette parties as the estates visited are primarily wine-tasting venues and not party venues. In order to properly exercise their duties, the Franschhoek Wine Tram staff members place a legitimate expectation on all guests not to behave in an unacceptably loud, disruptive, offensive, or intoxicated manner. Should any such behaviour be exhibited the Franschhoek Wine Tram reserves its right to suspend or withdraw its services. All vehicles are fitted with CCTV and monitored throughout the service.

24 hours + = 100% REFUND
Less than 24 hours before scheduled TIME SLOT = No Refund

Tickets are to be collected on the day of your tour. Please be at the Ticket Office +/-20 minutes prior to your departure time.
Please take note that pets are not permitted on the tour.

Please note all our tours are not wheelchair friendly as the vehicles are all safari-type vehicles. All clients travelling with us need to be mobile due to stairs in all vehicles as well as accessibility at the wine estates. The experience was incredible. Our guide and the wineries that were chosen were all perfect. Our guide, Courtney was incredibly accommodating. She ensured our experience was nothing less than spectacular. Valentino and Taylor helped us at the station and were fantastic hosts while we waited for our tram to arrive. Absolutely amazing from start to finish. We were the only 2 on our tasting experience which made it extra special. Our guide for the day was very knowledgeable and informative on the 3 Vineyards we visited. The food and wines at each stop were lovely. Definately worth every penny. First stop was breakfast, on the bus for about 5-10 where had 3 dishes and 3 wines (i actually tried a fouth wine a rose) then back to the tram stop to board the tram to take us for lunch. Glass of bubbles on the tram then onto a tractor cart to get us into the 2nd Vineyard where we had a 3 course lunch along with another 3 wines. I had the fillet steak as a main course and it was huge and delicious. Had a couple of hours here before heading back onto the tram to take us for dessert at our last stop 3 deserts and 3 glasses of wine. All in all a lovely experience and would highly recommend. - Pamela
Very enjoyable day out. The wine tasting g was varied and of high quality and the food was also excellent. Little extras like the tram ride and art exhibitions also made the day more than just a wine tasting. Our guide was personable, knowledgeable and very courteous. All the sommeliers were also very informative. I would recommend this trip to anyone with even a passing interest in wine. - Richard

We had an amazing time on the wine and cuisine experience. This is definitely the way to experience the Franschhoek wineries as the experienced team pick the vineyards for you to visit and organise the food for you too! You even get a knowledgeable guide. It is very well organised and you get a more exclusive and personal tour than you would doing it on your own. Everything was just perfect - Richard
