With the Exceptional Wine & Cuisine Experience, guests are treated to a day of exceptional luxury, travelling via tram and tram-bus to 3 different pairing experiences.
Guests depart from the Franschhoek Terminal at 10:15 am and enjoy a complimentary coffee and Beignet while awaiting their departure. Guests travel via tram and tram bus to three pre-selected wine estates.
Throughout the course of the day, guests are treated to a number of pairing experiences, including a breakfast pairing, a MCC & truffle pairing, an indulgent food & wine pairing lunch, and a dessert & wine pairing. After a full day of food, wine and festivities, guests return to the Franschhoek Terminal at approximately 5 pm.
The tour is strictly a wine-tasting experience and does not host celebration events such as birthdays or bachelor/bachelorette parties as the estates visited are primarily wine-tasting venues and not party venues. In order to properly exercise their duties, the Franschhoek Wine Tram staff members place a legitimate expectation on all guests not to behave in an unacceptably loud, disruptive, offensive, or intoxicated manner. Should any such behaviour be exhibited the Franschhoek Wine Tram reserves its right to suspend or withdraw its services. All vehicles are fitted with CCTV and monitored throughout the service.

24 hours + = 100% REFUND
Less than 24 hours before scheduled TIME SLOT = No Refund

Tickets are to be collected on the day of your tour. Please be at the Ticket Office +/-20 minutes prior to your departure time.

Please note all our tours are not wheelchair friendly as the vehicles are all safari-type vehicles. All clients travelling with us need to be mobile due to stairs in all vehicles as well as accessibility at the wine estates. We were so pleased that we spent a little more money and chose the top of the range package for this tour. It was well worth it. We had a fabulous, fun day being looked after superbly by our guide, Anga. We were a group of 8 and the company most pleasurable. Luckily for us we had a fine and sunny day from beginning to end which enhanced the experience. Food was top class and plenty of it and wine superb - and plenty of it!!! At each stop we had a full explanation of what we were eating and drinking. The venues chosen were delightful and top class. Having a guide with us allowed total relaxation as we didn't need to think about timings or where to go on the hop on hop off bus and tram. The vehicles themselves were a lot of fun. A top class day for sure. The only thing I will warn about is driving following this tour. I am sure, if you drank all or most of the wine offered, you would not pass a breathalyser test on the road. We found a huge police presence on the road so as well as the danger of having an accident, there is a danger of being charged with driving under the influence. - Jim
What an absolutely incredible experience! From the personal guide (Anga), always with Champagne in hand and greeted with more Champagne at every wine farm stop! The food and wine tasting was out of this world, even with personal tours of the cellars, with more tasting! We has such an amazing time and could never have expected such a beautiful experience!
