With the Exceptional Wine & Cuisine Experience, guests are treated to a day of exceptional luxury, travelling via tram and tram-bus to 3 different pairing experiences.
Guests depart from the Franschhoek Terminal at 10:15 am and enjoy a complimentary coffee and Beignet while awaiting their departure. Guests travel via tram and tram bus to three pre-selected wine estates.
Throughout the course of the day, guests are treated to a number of pairing experiences, including a breakfast pairing, a MCC & truffle pairing, an indulgent food & wine pairing lunch, and a dessert & wine pairing. After a full day of food, wine and festivities, guests return to the Franschhoek Terminal at approximately 5 pm.
The tour is strictly a wine-tasting experience and does not host celebration events such as birthdays or bachelor/bachelorette parties as the estates visited are primarily wine-tasting venues and not party venues. In order to properly exercise their duties, the Franschhoek Wine Tram staff members place a legitimate expectation on all guests not to behave in an unacceptably loud, disruptive, offensive, or intoxicated manner. Should any such behaviour be exhibited the Franschhoek Wine Tram reserves its right to suspend or withdraw its services. All vehicles are fitted with CCTV and monitored throughout the service.

24 hours + = 100% REFUND
Less than 24 hours before scheduled TIME SLOT = No Refund

Tickets are to be collected on the day of your tour. Please be at the Ticket Office +/-20 minutes prior to your departure time.
Please take note that pets are not permitted on the tour.

Please note all our tours are not wheelchair friendly as the vehicles are all safari-type vehicles. All clients travelling with us need to be mobile due to stairs in all vehicles as well as accessibility at the wine estates. We absolutely loved the wine and cuisine experience from beginning to end. We were warmly welcomed by Jay (apologies if I have not remembered his name correctly), offered a coffee and/or water and a pastry before meeting our group. The group we had were a lot fo fun and very chatty and easy to get along with. Jay was informative and theer was never a time where we did not know where we were going, or what was happening. The tram was so comfortable - the champagne on board was an unexpected treat. The wine estates we visited were all different from each other and all offered their own unique and wonderful experience. Staff everywhere were hospitable, warm and welcoming and could not do enough to make us feel right at home. The wines were all delicious and the food exceptional. The highlight to mentoon is that all thinking and planning was taken out of our hands - we did not have to decide which estates to visit, how long we had at each of them, nor where we wanted to have lunch - it was all taken care of on this experience - which counts for a lot. It was a truly awesome experience and well worth every penny - definitely highly recommended. - Mrs
