With the Exceptional Wine & Cuisine Experience, guests are treated to a day of exceptional luxury, travelling via tram and tram-bus to 3 different pairing experiences.
Guests depart from the Franschhoek Terminal at 10:15 am and enjoy a complimentary coffee and Beignet while awaiting their departure. Guests travel via tram and tram bus to three pre-selected wine estates.
Throughout the course of the day, guests are treated to a number of pairing experiences, including a breakfast pairing, a MCC & truffle pairing, an indulgent food & wine pairing lunch, and a dessert & wine pairing. After a full day of food, wine and festivities, guests return to the Franschhoek Terminal at approximately 5 pm.
The tour is strictly a wine-tasting experience and does not host celebration events such as birthdays or bachelor/bachelorette parties as the estates visited are primarily wine-tasting venues and not party venues. In order to properly exercise their duties, the Franschhoek Wine Tram staff members place a legitimate expectation on all guests not to behave in an unacceptably loud, disruptive, offensive, or intoxicated manner. Should any such behaviour be exhibited the Franschhoek Wine Tram reserves its right to suspend or withdraw its services. All vehicles are fitted with CCTV and monitored throughout the service.

24 hours + = 100% REFUND
Less than 24 hours before scheduled TIME SLOT = No Refund

Tickets are to be collected on the day of your tour. Please be at the Ticket Office +/-20 minutes prior to your departure time.

Please note all our tours are not wheelchair friendly as the vehicles are all safari-type vehicles. All clients travelling with us need to be mobile due to stairs in all vehicles as well as accessibility at the wine estates. Do it! Just do it. We chose the hosted tour so that the plethora of choices as to which wine farms to go to were made by the Franschhoek Wine Tram team. Yes, it's not cheap but it is excellent value. For us that was definitely the right call to make. As a consequence we went to three wine farms and at each enjoyed carefully curated pairings of food and wine. The food was exceptional and the wines very good, and our preconceptions about which wine ought to go with which food were thoroughly challenged in the most positive way. There were 4 in my party, and there were two other couples in our group - 8 in total; a perfect number for our guide Tameron who managed the tour with grace and charm. The 7 hours that our tour took passed in a flash, but is lodged firmly in our memories as a wonderful thing to have done. Just do it... - Malachy
