Groups experience a unique and leisurely way to see the Franschhoek Valley as they journey through rolling vineyards, stopping at some of South Africa’s oldest and most distinguished wine estates. The itinerary covers up to three wine estates in the Franschhoek Valley, each with a character as rich and individual as the wines they produce.

FORMAT
Groups will visit up to 3 pre-selected wine estates in the Franschhoek Valley over the course of the day by double-decker tram (shared with other passengers) and open-air tram bus.

Please note all lunch bookings will be subject to availability.

The tour is strictly a wine-tasting experience and does not host celebration events such as birthdays or bachelor/bachelorette parties as the estates visited are primarily wine-tasting venues and not party venues. In order to properly exercise their duties, the Franschhoek Wine Tram staff members place a legitimate expectation on all guests not to behave in an unacceptably loud, disruptive, offensive, or intoxicated manner. Should any such behaviour be exhibited the Franschhoek Wine Tram reserves its right to suspend or withdraw its services. All vehicles are fitted with CCTV and monitored throughout the service.

CANCELLATION POLICY (All services including chauffeur/transfer services):
24 hours + = 100% REFUND
Less than 24 hours before scheduled TIME SLOT = No Refund

Please send a cancellation email to groups@winetram.co.za including your booking ID on the subject to request a refund.

Tickets are to be collected on the day of your tour. Please be at the Ticket Office +/-20 minutes prior to your departure time.

Please take note that pets are not permitted on the tour.

WhereThe tour embarks and disembarks from the Franschhoek Terminal. Cnr of Main Road and Cabriere Street, Franschhoek 7690 Where to Park? Parking is available at the Franschhoek Terminal.
WeatherBoth the tram and tram-bus are fairly well protected from the rain but on the rare occasion the service may be cancelled due to weather conditions or mechanical problems without notice in which case full refunds will be issued.
What to WearWe will be travelling with open blinds and windows for your safety, please wear warm comfortable clothes & shoes on cold days.

Guests or Spectators*Safety Guidelines* At the Franschhoek Wine Tram, safety is our top priority. We strive to ensure that all experiences with our products are not only enjoyable but also conducted in a safe and responsible manner. As such, we prohibit passengers from engaging in and capturing content that falls outside of safety regulations. The below activities are some of the actions which are *strictly prohibited*: 1. *Hanging Out of Vehicles*: Under no circumstances are passengers allowed to hang out of the vehicles while in motion or stationary. This includes but is not limited to sticking limbs or any part of the body outside of the vehicle. 2. *Occupying the Driving Seat*: Passengers must refrain from sitting in the driving seat of any vehicle associated with our brand unless they are authorized and trained to operate the vehicle. This rule applies regardless of whether the vehicle is stationary or in motion. 3. *Operating Vehicles*: Passengers are not permitted to operate any of our vehicles unless they have received proper training and authorization from the Franschhoek Wine Tram. This includes but is not limited to driving, steering, or manipulating vehicle controls. 4. *Drinking on Vehicles*: Consumption of alcoholic beverages is strictly prohibited on all vehicles associated with the Franschhoek Wine Tram. Passengers must refrain from consuming alcoholic beverages while on board our vehicles, whether in motion or stationary. 5. *Standing on Vehicles*: Passengers are prohibited from standing on the exterior or interior of our vehicles while they are in motion or stationary. This includes but is not limited to standing on seats, roofs, hoods, or any other part of the vehicle. 6. *Smoking/Vaping*: Smoking or vaping is strictly prohibited on all vehicles associated with the Franschhoek Wine Tram. Passengers must refrain from smoking or vaping while on board our vehicles, whether in motion or stationary. 7. *Placement of Equipment*: No equipment may be placed outside the moving vehicle at any time. This includes cameras, tripods, or any other filming equipment. All equipment must be safely secured within the vehicle during transit. We expect all passengers to adhere to these and other safety guidelines/instructions for staff at all times. Failure to comply may result in the termination of services with the Franschhoek Wine Tram. We value the safety and well-being of both passengers and our team, and these guidelines are in place to ensure that all interactions with our products are conducted responsibly. Notes

Please note all our tours are not wheelchair friendly as the vehicles are all safari-type vehicles. All clients travelling with us need to be mobile due to stairs in all vehicles as well as accessibility at the wine estates. We decided to take our first tram journey as a family of seventeen. We reserved a spot on the Group Experience Franschhoek 1 for December 29, 2023, and what a wonderful day we had. We only visited three farms, as a large party, we were pressed for time, and that was plenty for us. Let me start by saying what a wonderful person Simon was---our tour guide. His organisation skills and friendliness were excellent, and he had incredible knowledge of Franschhoek and its farms. After visiting our first wine estatey, Lynx, whose wines were truly excellent, we took the bus to the original tram train, which brought us to Klein Goederust. It was a scorching day, so they even moved us inside to a more comfortable area. They had wonderful wines, too. Dieu Donne was the farm where we had our lunch, which was very tasty. This wine tasting event is highly recommended, and my family and I plan to go every year. - Julina
