Groups experience a unique and leisurely way to see the Groot Drakenstein Valley as they journey through rolling vineyards, stopping at some of South Africa’s oldest and most distinguished wine estates. The itinerary covers up to three wine estates in the Groot Drakenstein Valley, each with a character as rich and individual as the wines they produce.
FORMAT
Groups will visit up to 3 pre-selected wine estates in the Groot Drakenstein Valley over the course of the day by double-decker tram (shared with other passengers) and open-air tram bus.

Please note all lunch bookings will be subject to availability.
The tour is strictly a wine-tasting experience and does not host celebration events such as birthdays or bachelor/bachelorette parties as the estates visited are primarily wine-tasting venues and not party venues. In order to properly exercise their duties, the Franschhoek Wine Tram staff members place a legitimate expectation on all guests not to behave in an unacceptably loud, disruptive, offensive, or intoxicated manner. Should any such behaviour be exhibited the Franschhoek Wine Tram reserves its right to suspend or withdraw its services. All vehicles are fitted with CCTV and monitored throughout the service.
CANCELLATION POLICY (All services including chauffeur/transfer services):
24 hours + = 100% REFUND
Less than 24 hours before scheduled TIME SLOT = No Refund
Please send a cancellation email to groups@winetram.co.za including your booking ID on the subject to request a refund.
Tickets are to be collected on the day of your tour. Please be at the Ticket Office +/-20 minutes prior to your departure time.
Please take note that pets are not permitted on the tour.

Chauffeur/Transfer – Please note transfers are added at an additional cost to your booking.
Please note all our tours are not wheelchair friendly as the vehicles are all safari-type vehicles. All clients travelling with us need to be mobile due to stairs in all vehicles as well as accessibility at the wine estates. Our group of 18 had a lovely time on the Wine Tram experience. Generous hosts and a lovely dedicated and knowledgeable guide for the day (Courtney). The itinerary worked perfectly and each of the 3 wineries we visited were unique and special in their own ways.
