Customer Reviews

We had our first experience with SA, just for a few days to get the taste of it. We were overwhelmed by the friendliness and kindness of all people we met in this beautiful and mesmerising country. All in all we could not have a better first impression and for sure will be back soon. And also with Franschhoek Wine Tram. Very well organised, friendly customer support and guidance. We loved hopping on and of and spend more time at some estates than the one hour stop over schedule. Cause the wine and food dictated us to enjoy them to the fullest, which in one hour you cannot. So the Wine Tram is highly recommended by us. We will take more lines next time. Just step aboard and enjoy the ride! - Fumbler

Hi, As a travel agent myself I will def. Recommend you. It was a wonderful experience. The tour guide had lots of knowledge and was very informative, friendly and easy to chat with. Even the bus driver was very friendly and know what he is doing. Thr tram staff aswell very competant and friendly. We made new friends. Thank you ! - Michelle

Fabulous day! Thorough recommend as the best way to visit the wine farms of Fransschoek. - Chloe

We went to the Tram stop the day before our wine visit to check out the details and discovered that the timetable had changed slightly. The staff were very polite and sorted us out with a revised itinerary in just a few minutes. The following day we set off on the Blue Line, first by bus and then by tram. The efficiency was amazing. Each bus has a clock above the driver and it runs literally to the second. The staff are very informative and have a lovely joyful attitude to their work. Its so handy that you can purchase wine and leave it with the driver for collection later. The whole day was so relaxing and enjoyable, and that was not all down the consumption of copious glasses of wine. Whoever is behind the idea and execution of the Wine Tram should give themselves a big clap on the back. You have done an amazing job. The vineyards also were very efficient and welcoming. I won't highlight one over another because each one we visited was unique in its own way and very welcoming. Due to the unique terroir many of the grapes produce wines that are very different in taste to what we are used to in Europe, so I would recommend tasting a wide selection. We don't particularly like Chardonnay, especially if it is oaked, however, we tasted and bought one of the nicest white wines I have tasted in a long time made predominately from Chardonnay. - John

Awesome experience! Great way to discover the wineries. We will be back! - Vincent
