Customer Reviews

We loved our time on the pink line! Pigcasso was a huge hit as well as Grande Provence! We cannot wait to come back to visit! - Nathalie

Long story short, I'll be back a few times more. Thank you to the staff, they made my experience even better ? - Destiny

A large party of over 30 of us travelled the Pink Line Wine Tram together on Monday 23 February. We arrived in Franschhoek the previous day straight from our daughter's wedding in Elgin on Saturday 21 February. Firstly ,we would like to thank the Tram line staff. We had not all been able to pre book in advance on the 10.30 am bus first tram, but they were very helpful and accommodating in amending our tickets to enable as many of us to travel together. as possible. What an amazing experience! We first visited Dieu Donne to enjoy our first wine tasting - what a stunning location and the wines were excellent too! The staff coped very well with serving such a large group within the hour timeslot and also proved amenable to individual requirements. Our 2nd stop was at Chamonix. This was more of a squash for the size of our group and ended up as a rush to complete and pay for the wine tasting within the hour. With hindsight the Pigcasso estate may have been more suitable for the needs of our group which included several children. Lunch plans had to be altered due to the closure of Leopard's Leap restaurant, but Rickety Bridge rose to the occasion providing a separate eating space for us at very short notice. Advance food orders were sent ahead for as many of the party as possible. Although we did not have time for separate wine tasting, the food was wonderful and whilst there were a couple of delays, overall the estate which was already busy coped extremely well. Unfortunately, there was a hiccup over miscommunication regarding the timing of the shuttle buses back to the tram which left a number of us inadvertently stranded on a hot day with quite a wait for the next one. We then split up with some of the party visiting Grand Provence and Franschhoek Cellar. Excellent wine tastings were enjoyed at both estates. Overall, we had a most enjoyable day - especially once we had worked out precisely how the timetable worked. A suggestion for improvement would be to make clearer the interaction between the bus and actual tram on each line and where additional time needs to be factored in due to the shuttle from the tram to the estate. - Ray

The tram and bus service were absolutely fantastic. Very punctual with the schedule and a nice smooth ride between stops. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and very informative when asked about the vineyards and surrounding area. - Greg

A great experience..well organised..we got to experience 5 of the estates and weren't disappointed with any of them. Great service, great pairings Met other people that had done more than one line. Would definitely recommend and definitely do again - Gina
