The tour is strictly a wine-tasting experience and does not host celebration events such as birthdays or bachelor/bachelorette parties as the estates visited are primarily wine-tasting venues and not party venues. In order to properly exercise their duties, the Franschhoek Wine Tram staff members place a legitimate expectation on all guests not to behave in an unacceptably loud, disruptive, offensive, or intoxicated manner. Should any such behaviour be exhibited the Franschhoek Wine Tram reserves its right to suspend or withdraw its services. All vehicles are fitted with CCTV and monitored throughout the service.
CANCELLATION POLICY (All services including chauffeur/transfer services):
24 hours + = 100% REFUND
Less than 24 hours before scheduled TIME SLOT = No Refund
Please send a cancellation email to info@winetram.co.za including your booking ID on the subject to request a refund.
Passengers may dine at one of several restaurants on the tour. To avoid disappointment, it is highly recommended that passengers make reservations for lunch/picnic at least 24-48 hours in advance. Food or open alcoholic beverages are not allowed on the tour though food and drinks are available for purchase at the wine estates. Wine tastings can be purchased at each wine estate directly. Kindly take into consideration that some wine estates are cashless and require card payments only.
Tickets are to be collected on the day of your tour. Please be at the Ticket Office +/-20 minutes prior to your departure time.
Please take note that pets are not permitted on the tour.
Transportation from the ticket office to each of the wine estates on your route.
You will also receive a daily offerings card which will include any specials/discounts for the day.

Chauffeur/Transfer – Please note transfers are added at an additional cost to your booking.
Please note all our tours are not wheelchair friendly as the vehicles are all safari-type vehicles. All clients traveling with us need to be mobile due to stairs in all vehicles as well as accessibility at the wine estates. We really enjoyed the wine tasting along the tram route. The first 2 stops were the best, beautiful locations and very nice wine. We had lunch at the second stop which was very good. A lovely relaxing afternoon, highly recommended! - Victoria
We thoroughly enjoyed our day out on the Pink Line of the Wine Tram/Bus. Rickety Bridge was a beautiful place to start and very pleasant sitting looking out over the vines and lavender sipping on a cold glass or two. Lunch at Franschhoek Cellar was absolutely excellent. I would definitely recommend this. In the afternoon we used the Pink Bus and the guide on the bus was just excellent. She was amazing! Dieu Donne is a beautiful setting looking back out over the valley towards Stellenboch - just a lovely place to spend time Chamonix was our final stop - great wines in a nice shaded space. We would definitely recommend the tram/bus and the Pink line was great. Will visit again in the future for sure. - Andrew
