Please note that this is a booking for a gift voucher, this doesn’t confirm a booking.

The voucher would need to be redeemed during the process of making a booking upon which you or the receiver will select a date and make a booking online using the voucher as the payment method.

We suggest making a booking at least 3 – 7 days prior to your selected travel date as the seats are subject to availability. On-the-day bookings cannot be accommodated.

Click on the BOOK NOW button.
Select the Colour Line and click Book Now.
Add the number of Adult & Child tickets required, and select a tour date.
Then select an available timeslot.
Read through all the information and move forward with your booking.
Click on the Book Now button. This will redirect you to the checkout page.
Check that you agree with the information provided and enter your details.

Below the ‘Enter your details’ section you will notice the following:
“If you have a voucher, enter the code below.”
Enter the booking/voucher ID that was provided to you.
This number should have the following format:
Consisting of numbers and letters: xxxx-xxxx . Click submit code.
If the voucher code is valid the value of the voucher will be deducted from
your total in terms of payment. Click to agree to the Terms & Conditions.

Should your total exceed the vouchers’ value the system will require
additional payment to be made via credit/debit card before making the booking.
If further payment is required add your card details and press Book and Pay.
The system will now send you your booking confirmation.

Please take note that the voucher is only valid for the colour line it is booked as.
Should you wish to book on an alternative line, please contact our offices to
make the booking for you.

Remember to attach your voucher or voucher ID to this request.

Vouchers are to be redeemed at the value of their original purchase. Should any price increases occur, the user would be liable for the additional costs incurred.

WhenThe service runs daily except for the 24th of December, 25th of December, 31st of December, and 1st of January.
WhereThis will depend on the experience booked once redeeming the voucher.
WeatherBoth the tram and tram-bus are fairly well protected from the rain but on the rare occasion the service may be cancelled due to weather conditions or mechanical problems without notice in which case full refunds will be issued.
What to WearWe will be travelling with open blinds and windows for your safety, please wear warm comfortable clothes & shoes on cold days.
Things to BringPlease note a booking needs to be made. Vouchers are subject to availability, thus booking on the day cannot be accommodated. Vouchers are to be redeemed online, at which point a booking confirmation will be created.
Guests or SpectatorsThe tour is strictly a wine-tasting experience and does not host celebration events such as birthdays or bachelor/bachelorette parties as the estates visited are primarily wine-tasting venues and not party venues. In order to properly exercise their duties, the Franschhoek Wine Tram staff members place a legitimate expectation on all guests not to behave in an unacceptably loud, disruptive, offensive, or intoxicated manner. Should any such behavior be exhibited the Franschhoek Wine Tram reserves its right to suspend or withdraw its services. All vehicles are fitted with CCTV and monitored throughout the service.

Inclusions and Exclusions


Gift voucher to be used for the Hop-on Hop-off Experience.
Pre-bookings are required as space is subject to availability.
On-the-day bookings cannot be accommodated.


Hop-on Hop-off Booking, the voucher needs to be redeemed against a booking.
Thus the receiver is still required to make a booking upon receiving the voucher.
All wine tasting, lunch, and other activities at each stop.
Chauffer/Transfer – Note transfers are added at an additional cost to your booking.

Please note all our tours are not wheelchair friendly as the vehicles are all safari-type vehicles. All clients travelling with us need to be mobile due to stairs in all vehicles as well as accessibility at the wine estates. Please contact our offices ( or 021 300 0338) for personalised options.

Gift vouchers cannot be exchanged for money or refunded.

Vouchers are valid for a period of 3 years from purchase. Take note that the voucher will only be valued at the purchase price.
If booking after any price increases have taken place, the difference would need to be settled upon booking.
