THE EXPERIENCE & HIGHLIGHTS
• Depart from the Franschhoek Terminal at 10:30 am.
• Step aboard the iconic Franschhoek Wine Tram for a scenic tram ride, where a carefree day awaits.
• Begin your journey with a wine pairing at the first estate.
• Set off to the second estate to indulge in a platter and wine tasting.
• Continue the journey to the third estate for a wine pairing.
• Conclude your experience with a wine tasting at the fourth estate.
• Enjoy a ride back to the Franschhoek Terminal.
The tour is strictly a wine-tasting experience and does not host celebration events such as birthdays or bachelor/bachelorette parties as the estates visited are primarily wine-tasting venues and not party venues. In order to properly exercise their duties, the Franschhoek Wine Tram staff members place a legitimate expectation on all guests not to behave in an unacceptably loud, disruptive, offensive, or intoxicated manner. Should any such behaviour be exhibited the Franschhoek Wine Tram reserves its right to suspend or withdraw its services. All vehicles are fitted with CCTV and monitored throughout the service.

Less than 24 hours before scheduled TIME SLOT = No Refund

Tickets are to be collected on the day of your tour. Please be at the Ticket Office +/-20 minutes prior to your departure time.

Please note all our tours are not wheelchair friendly as the vehicles are all safari-type vehicles. All clients travelling with us need to be mobile due to stairs in all vehicles as well as accessibility at the wine estates. Extensive roadworks in Franschhoek, Drakenstein, Simondium, and Klapmuts may cause delays. Please factor this into your travel plans to the Franschhoek Wine Tram. Service may be affected on your booking day.

What a great day it was. We had booked the flavours of the vine tour before arriving in Cape Town as part of a deal which included transfers from our hotel to franschhoek and back later in the day. Firstly, the cost was incredible, a real value for money deal, we arrived with high but realistic expectations given its affordability. We were blown away by the whole day. We visited four different vineyards, set in beautiful scenery and tried a multitude of wines. We started with sparkling wines with a macaron pairing which was terrific, then we visited another vineyard where we sat outside and enjoyed a pizza and a charcuterie board with another spread of wines. The third followed suit but was paired with either a sweet or savoury platter depending on your choices, and the final vineyard was probably the most beautiful and had such an incredible history of its ownership and roots, and again had a wide array of wines to taste. Our group consisted of 9 people, which was the perfect size group. We all got on like a house on fire, and throughout the day we laughed and joked and thoroughly enjoyed our experiences together. So much so we ended up going out for drinks after the experience had concluded in the nearby town. The tram and the buses used to travel to each vineyard were delightful, well looked after, incredibly original and really added another level of enjoyment to the day. Our guide Jessica also contributed heavily to the days enjoyment and success. She had great knowledge of the vineyards and their history and the stories from within the regions. she was fully involved with the group, had organised the day really well, she was attentive, full of life, professional but also immensely personable. Overall the day was a massive success and a really good laugh, we got to taste a great many delicious wines and pairings, met some lovely people and laughed non stop throughout. Would 100% do it again and again. Also, as we were out here on our honeymoon a couple of the vineyards provided us with additional and free of charge champagne, which was a really nice thing for them to do and was greatly appreciated. - Daniel
