Franschhoek Valley:
Breath-taking scenery, warm hospitality, world-class cuisine, and fine wines: These are the hallmarks of the beautiful Franschhoek Valley in the heart of the Cape Winelands. When the Huguenots first settled in this spectacular valley over 300 years ago, they brought with them their traditions and knowledge in winemaking and viticulture from their native France and transformed the wilderness around them into one of the most beautiful valleys in the world. This proud heritage can be seen and felt today in the Village and on the surrounding farms.
The fertile Franschhoek Valley is home to some of South Africa’s noble cultivars and classic styles. These range from superb whites such as Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Semillon, and Chenin Blanc, to the full-bodied reds of Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Pinot Noir, and Merlot.
The tour is strictly a wine-tasting experience and does not host celebration events such as birthdays or bachelor/bachelorette parties as the estates visited are primarily wine-tasting venues and not party venues. In order to properly exercise their duties, the Franschhoek Wine Tram staff members place a legitimate expectation on all guests not to behave in an unacceptably loud, disruptive, offensive, or intoxicated manner. Should any such behaviour be exhibited the Franschhoek Wine Tram reserves its right to suspend or withdraw its services. All vehicles are fitted with CCTV and monitored throughout the service.

The experience was absolutely outstanding. This had been booked as a 40th birthday trip and it did not disappoint. We had our own guide for the day and visited 3 stunning wine estates. The lunch was fantastic as was all of the wine we sampled throughout the day. They even had us sat in a reserved section in front of the tram. I felt very spoilt and like I had a VIP experience. Would 100 percent recommend and brilliant value for money. - GILLIAN
What a fantastic view. We visited three wineries with tastings, as well as a served lunch. It was phenomenal. Our guide, Courtney, was with us and another couple, making it practically a private tour. I highly recommend it --- great value for the price. Take the opportunity to buy the wines you enjoy, both for yourself and as gifts. - CRISTIAN
In short, Anga was just PHENOMENAL. We were visiting South Africa on our honeymoon and were delighted to be the only ones booked on that tour that day. Anga was engaging, funny, friendly and so knowledgable about all wine in the different vineyards! It felt like chatting with a friend the whole day. We even came away from the experience with a new appreciation for Chardonnay! We would take the tour again with her in a heartbeat. - Chloe
I had a fantastic time on the Curated Wine Experience! Tameron was a very knowledgeable and personable guide. She gave us lots of interesting facts as well as the broad story of the land, history, and wines. I felt like I got to know the area as well as Tameron. It was just my friend and I on the tour and she made it a truly personal and curated time. We had 16 tastings and a standard glass with the included lunch. There was travel time between the 3 vineyards so it wasn't all the tastings at once. I would highly recommend this tour and want to especially thank Tameron for a lovely day! - Amy
The wine and food were first class -- every pairing was delicious and thoughtfully curated. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, adding so much value to the overall experience. It was not only fun but informative too. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone. Definitely money well spent! - Adriaan
